The hair was donated by her grandmother. allegiance: Neutral canon: Yes Tell Us a little about how you look height: 5'7 weight: 120 pounds hair: Silvery-blonde, and very long eyes: Deep blue distinguishing features: Being part Veela, Fleur comes across was abnormally attractive to the opposite sex. Her long blonde hair and deep blue eyes are hard to ignore as well. intended face claim: Clemence Posey overall: Fleur is 5'7, rather tall compared to most girls. She weighs 120 pounds and is rather slim and slender. Her silvery-blonde hair falls to just above her waist, and always looks perfect. She inherited her deep blue eyes from her mother, the same eyes her Veela grandmother had. Being part Veela, most males find Fleur exceedingly attractive, making them unable to notice any of her flaws. Females, on the other hand, would be able to notice that she is a little on the thin side, and that she is extremely pale. She has short stubby nails due to the fact that she's a nail biter, and generally wears very little makeup, just enough to please her mother. When in public, she tends to dress up a bit more than most, something she was forced to do when she was living with her parents. When she is home, she prefers to wear clothing that is comfortable, and even on the plainer side. She smiles often when in public, but it rarely reaches her eyes; she does it more for show than because she is genuinely happy. When not constantly 'performing' in social situations, she often wears a scowl, or furrows her brow as if she is deep in thought. Friends and family closest to her would say that she looks very serious most of the time. Very rarely does she indulge and smile like she means it, unless she is around her sister, of course. and then a little about yourself likes: family, competition, accomplishing goals she has set for herself, learning new skills, and speaking her mind. dislikes: boys who use her just for her looks, people who think they are better than her since she is only a half-blood, people who ridicule those who are not pureblood, being alone, and thunderstorms. strengths: intelligent, charming, loyal, family-oriented, brave, and caring. weaknesses: standoffish, can come across as blunt or rude, she cares deeply for her sister and would be absolutely crushed if anything ever happened to her, her own arrogance (at times), and her trust issues. boggart: Anything bad happening to her little sister. erised: To find someone who accepts her for the person she is and that doesn't use her just for her looks. overall personality: Being part Veela, one would think that Fleur would be a social butterfly, when in fact she is quite the opposite. She is outspoken, and sometimes blunt which can put off her peers. She does not necessarily want to anger or insult them, it just comes across that way. In addition to being blunt, she can come off as standoffish. She has trouble relating to those around her because of what she is. She is sick and tired and being ogled at because she is part Veela, and assumes that everyone she meets--especially males--is only using her for her looks. She may come off as cold and standoffish in certain social situations, but at home things couldn't be any different. Fleur is very family oriented, and would do anything for them, especially her little sister. Ever since Gabrielle's birth, Fleur had felt extremely close to, and protective of, her younger sister. She loves her more than anything else in the world, and would do everything in her power to protect her from any kind of harm. She and Gabrielle are so close because, with her father gone so often for work and her mother busy with social engagements, Fleur had to be somewhat of a third parent to her. Growing up in such a way forced her to become a very caring and nurturing individual, whether she wanted to be or not. Throughout her school years at Beauxbatons, Fleur learned many things about herself, one being that she thoroughly enjoyed school, and expected to do well in all of her classes. She was very studious, and spent many of her evenings over her books. Another trait made itself known during these night as well: her competitive nature. Fleur not only wanted to be the best, she had to be. She had to be faster, prettier, smarter, and better than everyone else. That competitive determination was what drove her forward and aided her in becoming the Champion for Beauxbatons during the Triwizard Tournament. history your family and such parents: Mother-Appoline Delacour, 42 years old. Father: Monsieur Delacour, 50 years old siblings: Gabrielle Delacour, 9 years old. pets: none born: Paris, France. overall history: Fleur was born on November 11, 1977 and was the first child of Monsieur and Appoline Delacour. She was instantly doted on by both her mother and father as a baby, and was able to enchant anyone who came in contact with her. Things continued in much the same way until she was around five years old; that's when things started to change. Her father spent less time at home, and more time at work, while her mother started scheduling more social engagements, leaving Fleur either alone or with a babysitter. By the time her little sister was born, Fleur welcomed the companion. She was nine years old when Gabrielle was born, and she was instantly overly protective of her. Fleur became both a mother and a father to Gabrielle, making sure she was well taken care of in her parents absence. She wanted her to have the life she had had before her parents stopped caring as much. When she received her acceptance letter to Beauxbatons, she had mixed feelings. She was excited and proud that she had been admitted, but worried that her sister's care would suffer greatly with her gone. She begged her mother to stay home more often, and only then would she agree to attend. Thankfully, her mother complied, and Fleur was absolutely enchanted when she first arrived at the palace near Cannes, France. Her school years drastically changed her. There were several other part Veela students there, so she received no extra special treatment, which she wasn't used to. She found out that she quite enjoyed attending and studying for her classes, and became a very competitive person, always striving to be the best in everything. That drive is ultimately what helped her be chosen as the champion for Beauxbatons for the Triwizard Tournament. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, she was not very impressed. The other students viewed her as haughty, cold, and unfriendly, when really she was none of those things. She went into the tournament very confident, in fact she was arrogant--but soon she learned she was not as prepared as she had originally thought. During the first challenge, her skirt was set on fire when her plan to distract the dragon backfired. In the second challenge, she was taken down by the Grindylows, and was unable to rescue her sister from the Merpeople. After Harry rescues Gabrielle for her, she opens up more to the people at Hogwarts. Now that she is out of school, Fleur is looking forward to her adult life. She has taken a part-time job at the wizarding bank Gringotts in London, to make a little money, but to also learn better English. While working there, she runs into Bill Weasley, and is instantly smitten with him. Rumor has it that they have been secretly dating, but neither Bill or Fleur will comment on that piece of information. now for the person behind the character alias: Emma/Chester age: 22 experience: about five or six months. where'd you find us?: through an ad on a RP site I'm an admin on. anything to add?: I put the screw in the tuna! (Hopes someone is from the 90s and understands this) lastly the roleplay sample Fleur sample: Fleur tossed her head back, basking in the sunlight as it soaked through her skin. As magical as winter was, she still loved the summertime. The sun was just too inviting to ignore on this day. She lounged on a chair in the backyard of her parents mansion, soaking up the rays. This was one of few rare visits she made to her family home; Fleur wasn't very close with her parents anymore, and only continued her frequent visits for the benefit of her little sister, Gabrielle. She was more like a daughter to her than a sister, as she had raised her for the majority of her life. Being out of school and only working part-time allowed her the luxury of visiting Gabrielle as often as she would like. "Fleur, I cannot believe you are here! It's been so long since I last saw you!" Gabrielle exclaimed in her perfect French, running to exuberantly hug her older sister. Fleur held her close for a few moments before replying. "It az only been a week, Gabby," she said in broken English, showing off what she had been practicing. "You cannot possibly have missed me zhat much." Gabrielle gushed over her new language skills, and instantly switched courses, giving her all the details of anything and everything that had happened in the past week. Fleur draped her arm loosely around Gabrielle's shoulders as they leisurely strolled around the grounds, sharing stories of recent events. Fleur sighed, thinking that this was as perfect as life could get for her: being happy with her little sister. More developed original character sample--Strong Language warning: Nikolai ran a hand through his hair, staring at the bottle sitting across from him. The sunlight fading through the window was casting shadows around the room, illuminating the fiery liquid, making it dance as he watched it slosh around. He knew he shouldn't be thinking about drinking right now; he had had more trouble than usual controlling his anger lately. He still had the bruises on his hands from punching the wall the other night. He sighed, laying his head down on the table, keeping his line of vision to the Firewhiskey unobstructed. He hated himself for his weakness. Weakness was a deplorable characteristic, his father would be turning over in his grave if he could see him right now. Nikolai looked down, the sun glinting off of the scares on his arms. He self consciously pulled his sleeves down, grabbing the bottle, tossing it back and forth. He was nothing but a disappointment to his father when he was living. He was never the strongest, nor the smartest. He was never the biggest, nor the wittiest. He was simply Nikolai. At the present, he was still none of those things. He was not cunning, sly, or ambitious. He was not loyal or just. He was not smart, or intelligent. And he was certainly not brave, despite being in Gryffindor. He was weak, and pathetic. He was damanged and irreparable. He was violent and antisocial. He was a coward, too afraid of his addictions to carelessly indulge in them. If his father was here right now to witness how far his son had truly fallen, he would have smacked Nikolai across the face, cursing at him to stop being such a fucking baby! To grow up, and make his family proud. He was a Sangrey, heir to their aristocratic dynasty; he had no choice but to make them proud and carry on their family. But his father was dead. And Nikolai was not making his family proud. He was not carrying on the Sangrey dynasty; he was slowly watching it die away. He was slowly killing it. Nikolai was slowly killing himself.
